  1. Both the EETS edition and British Library Additional 29729 has this as a single word, which is likely more correct, but the otiose mark on the "g" suggests that the scribe is rendering these as two separate words. Compare with "gyfftes" below and "gladnesse" in the previous stanza." ↩
  2. MacCraken has corrected this to "Ceres." British Library Additional 29729 has "Ceres." ↩
  3. MacCraken corrects this to a single e, but based on "plentee" in line four above it seems more likely it is meant as a double e. This would be consistent with lines one and three, as well. ↩
